It seems there is an official day for everything nowadays. You’ve got Mother’s Day just a couple of weeks away (don’t forget), International Children’s Day, and you’d be forgiven for forgetting today, for May the 4th is (unofficially) International Star Wars day.
While it’s not an official day of celebration, for the sci-fi geek in all of us it is nonetheless a great opportunity to pull a sickie and spend the day on the couch with popcorn in hand. And now for us motorcyclists, HJC has some insanely cool Limited Edition Star Wars graphics available on some of their most popular lines.
In the USA, HJC has today released a replica graphic of Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing pilot helmet on the IS-5 open face helmet, while other markets get the big bad from the recent film The Force Awakens, Kylo Renn, and we here in New Zealand get a graphic matching that of the coolest bounty hunter in the galaxy – Boba Fett.
Each helmet is a limited run, meaning they cost a bit more than the usual graphics we see from HJC, but you get some awesome features for the money.
The RPHA11 Boba Fett helmet we can get our hands on here in NZ for instance, has gold D rings and comes in a special box with it’s own Star Wars themed helmet bag!!
This isn’t the first time a helmet manufacturer has cashed in on the popularity of a film. HJC also has graphics for popular Marvel superheroes such as Captain America, Iron Man, and Deadpool, while Fox has previously done a run of Limited Edition Star Wars helmets for the MotoX scene (though why you’d ever want to wear one and get it muddy is beyond us).
If you want to get your hands on one, be quick, as they’re sure to be scooped up fast.
