Suzuki updates GSX-8R and V-Strom 1050 for 2026

  • Both come with new colours
  • No. changes to the engine
  • Likely to be introduced in NZ and AUS next year

Suzuki has joined Honda and Kawasaki in refreshing its colour options for 2026, introducing new paint schemes for two of its motorcycles.

Suzuki GSX-8R

The first update goes to the GSX-8R sportbike, which was originally launched in late 2023. It now gets a new white colour option with blue wheels. Suzuki has also added a matte black variant with red wheels. The familiar Metallic Triton Blue scheme continues, but now comes with black wheels instead of grey.

Mechanically, nothing has changed. The GSX-8R still uses its 776cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 81.7bhp and 79Nm of torque.

Suzuki Vstrom 1050

Suzuki has also given new colours to the V-Strom 1050, its ‘road explorer’ in the adventure lineup. It now gets a grey option with black and red decals, plus red wheels. There’s also a full black colourway and a standout Matt Steel Green option. As before, the bike uses its 1,037cc liquid-cooled 90° V-twin engine, which makes 106bhp and 99Nm of torque. We can expect both updated models to make their way to our shores sometime in 2026.
