Next-gen Triumph Tiger 900 spotted on test; launch by 2027

  • Draws design inspiration from Tiger 1200
  • Gets a new subframe and revised ergonomics
  • Likely to be unveiled next year

The next-generation Triumph Tiger 900 has been spotted testing in Europe for the first time, offering an early look at the model’s updated design. The test mule was seen without camouflage, finished in all-black bodywork that reveals most of its exterior details.

At the front, the prototype appears to draw clear inspiration from the larger Tiger 1200. A compact projector headlamp sits up front, while the rest of the fascia remains neatly concealed. The beak has also been redesigned and now flows more smoothly into the tank shrouds, giving the bike a more cohesive look than the current Tiger 900.

Triumph seems to have retained the split-radiator layout, but the fuel tank features sharper lines and added contours, pointing to a more muscular stance. Another notable change is the much lower exhaust routing, which suggests significant internal revisions to the engine layout and overall packaging.

At the rear, the subframe appears to be completely new. While the swingarm looks familiar at first glance, closer inspection reveals subtle design changes. The wheelbase also appears longer, which could improve high-speed stability and lead to revised rider ergonomics. The prototype seen here is likely the GT variant, as indicated by the 19-inch alloy front wheel.

The next-generation Tiger 900 is still in the early stages of development. Triumph is expected to officially unveil the updated model sometime in late 2026, with a 2027 launch also a possibility.
