Triumph has revealed the next-generation Street Triple 798 ahead of its official unveiling on November 17, 2026. While the British manufacturer has yet to release complete specifications, it has confirmed several major changes coming to its mid-size streetfighter.
The biggest update is the new 798cc inline-three engine, which is derived from the Moto2 powerplant that Triumph supplies for the championship’s race bikes. The company had previously confirmed the larger engine and says it brings increases in both power and torque.
To achieve those gains, Triumph has equipped the engine with a revised cylinder head and a redesigned low-inertia valve train. These changes allow for a higher compression ratio and stronger torque delivery across the rev range. Further engine specifications are still to be announced, although Triumph has also indicated that the new unit will be lighter than its predecessor.

The changes extend beyond the engine, with Triumph describing the new chassis as completely redesigned. The company says the updated motorcycle will offer improved agility, while the images reveal a noticeably different frame and a substantially chunkier swingarm.
The rear suspension layout has also been revised, with the monoshock appearing to sit in a different position and potentially using updated hardware. At the front, the new Street Triple retains the familiar Brembo brakes and Showa forks, while the wheels also appear to have been carried over from the outgoing motorcycle.

Styling, meanwhile, receives a much more obvious transformation. The previous model’s distinctive twin headlamps have been replaced by a single LED projector positioned between perimeter daytime running lights, giving the motorcycle a more aggressive appearance. The exhaust has also been redesigned, with the new model featuring an underslung silencer.
Overall, the 798 brings a significantly revised engine, chassis and design to the Street Triple formula while retaining some of the existing cycle components. More details, including the full technical specifications, are expected when Triumph officially unveils the motorcycle on November 17.
