- To get two versions- road and off-road
- Cast wheels likely to be 19/17-inch
- Could be showcased at the 2025 EICMA
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 has already been spotted on test several times, and even the brand itself has shown it off on social media, seemingly accepting that it can’t stay hidden for long.
Until now, the test mules seen on the road have been fitted with long-travel suspension and 19-inch spoked wheels, pointing to an off-road focus. However, a different version has now been spotted, this time running cast wheels of what appear to be the same size. That small but important change suggests Royal Enfield could also be preparing a more road-oriented variant of the machine.

The choice of wheels gives a clear clue to the bike’s character. Spoked wheels remain the traditional pick for tackling rough terrain, since they can take more punishment, flex under stress, and work well with inner tubes that allow for lower tyre pressures. That can make them more forgiving when conditions get tough. Cast wheels, usually tubeless, don’t share those qualities and can lose all pressure if a rim gets damaged, but they are lighter, cheaper, easier to manufacture, and don’t need the same careful hand assembly that spoked wheels require. Which could mean the road version will also be priced lower.
That strategy makes sense. Many adventure bikes spend most of their time on tarmac, and a road-biased version with cast wheels could appeal to a larger audience. Riders are often drawn to big adventure machines not only for their off-road promise but for their fuel range, comfort, weather protection, and relaxed handling — qualities that remain just as desirable on the road as they are on a trail.

Like the other version, it was spotted with the circular TFT display that benefits from Google Maps and connectivity. Its engine will be a 750cc, parallel-twin that is expected to make around 50bhp and 60Nm. We can expect Royal Enfield to showcase the new Himalayan 750 in its two forms at the 2025 EICMA with a global launch expected in 2026.
