New BMW Motorrad sportbike concept to be unveiled on 23 May

  • Teaser videos released on social networks
  • Could be a track-only machine
  • It is adorned with carbon fibre bits

BMW Motorrad has released a teaser video on its social networks and YouTube, teasing its upcoming sportsbike concept. The video, titled ‘The Quest for the Speed of Light’, shows a glimpse of the motorcycle revealing some details.

To begin with, the silhouette of the motorcycle bear resemblance to the S1000RR. However, there are a few aspects that set it apart, despite not being fully revealed. The fuel tank appears to be flatter on the top while the fairing has new panel designs. Even the tail section is sharper than on the standard S1000RR, making the concept appear sharper.

That said, we can see carbon fiber bits on the motorcycle’s bodywork with golden fork bottles as well. With this, we expect it to likely be a track-only machine since BMW already has the top-spec M1000RR. The concept could also come with high-end suspension and braking equipment.
