An ECE 22.06 helmet from $259, an FIM Level 2 carbon race lid and a new European clothing brand are among the products arriving from newly launched Motorcycle Outfitters.

There’s a new name in the New Zealand motorcycle gear market, with Motorcycle Outfitters bringing a fresh selection of helmets and riding gear to Kiwi motorcyclists.
Motorcycle Outfitters has been established by keen motorcyclist Kerry Good following his acquisition of the former Motorgear business, with a new website, fresh stock and several new products and brands being added to the range.
Good says the opportunity to enter the motorcycle industry offered the chance to turn a long-standing passion for motorcycles into something more substantial.
The philosophy behind Motorcycle Outfitters is straightforward: offer good-quality motorcycle equipment at competitive prices across everything from commuting and urban riding to touring, adventure and performance riding.
Part of that strategy is keeping the business online-only, rather than operating a physical retail store. Where possible, Motorcycle Outfitters also deals directly with manufacturers rather than purchasing through additional distributors or wholesalers.
The idea is to reduce overheads and additional margins, with the savings reflected in the retail price.
Of course, buying motorcycle gear online creates its own challenges, particularly when it comes to sizing. Motorcycle Outfitters offers a 10-day ‘hassle free’ returns policy, with full details and conditions available on its website.
And there are already some interesting new products arriving.
Caberg Roxter Arrives From $259
One of the most interesting additions is the Caberg Roxter, a new full-face helmet for 2026 that brings the long-established Italian manufacturer’s styling and technology to a particularly competitive part of the market.
The Roxter meets the latest ECE 22.06 helmet standard and is produced in two shell sizes. It features adjustable ventilation and is also ready to accept Caberg’s Pro Speak Evo communication system.
Perhaps the biggest attention-grabber, however, is the price.
Solid-colour Roxters are priced at $259, with graphic versions at $279, putting the new Caberg within reach of riders who might otherwise be shopping at the budget end of the helmet market.
Motorcycle Outfitters says the intention isn’t to compete with the cheapest helmets available, but instead to offer riders a recognised European helmet brand at an accessible price.
Caberg GP01 Carbon Brings FIM-Level Protection
At the opposite end of the Caberg range is something altogether more serious.
Motorcycle Outfitters has secured limited numbers of the Caberg GP01 Carbon, the Italian company’s high-performance carbon-fibre race helmet.
Along with ECE 22.06 certification, the GP01 Carbon has FIM Level 2 homologation in M and L sizes, making it particularly interesting for racers and track-focused riders looking for one of the latest generations of competition helmet.
The GP01 Carbon also incorporates Caberg’s SOS Medical ID system, which allows important medical and emergency information to be made available to first responders following an accident.
Numbers coming into New Zealand are limited, with the GP01 Carbon priced at $1,099.
Caberg Tanami Targets Adventure Riders
Adventure riders haven’t been forgotten either, with the Caberg Tanami joining the Motorcycle Outfitters line-up.
The fibreglass on/off-road helmet has been designed to switch between road and off-road configurations in a matter of seconds, potentially making it particularly well suited to the sort of mixed-surface riding we enjoy here in New Zealand.
A day exploring the back roads can easily involve everything from motorway and sealed-road riding to gravel and forestry roads, so being able to alter the helmet configuration without carrying additional equipment has obvious appeal.
The Tanami also gets an integrated sun visor, Pinlock MaxVision lens and Caberg’s SOS Medical ID technology.
The Caberg Tanami is priced at $549 (white) / $599 (colour) / $699 (carbon).
SECA Motorcycle Gear Comes To New Zealand
It’s not just helmets that are new.
Motorcycle Outfitters is also introducing SECA motorcycle apparel to New Zealand, adding another European brand to the local market.
Based in Poland, SECA has been producing motorcycle clothing since 2010, with a focus on combining protection and functionality with European styling while keeping pricing relatively accessible.
The first NZ shipment has a particular emphasis on warmer-weather riding and includes the SECA Airflow, Summer Way and Superlite jackets, along with Superlite riding pants.
With New Zealand heading towards summer, the lightweight and ventilated equipment should arrive at an appropriate time for riders looking for an alternative to heavier all-season motorcycle clothing.
SECA is a new name for most Kiwi motorcyclists, so it’ll be interesting to get our hands on some of the range and see how it stacks up against the more established brands already available here.
Brixton Leather Continues
While much of the focus is on what’s new, Motorcycle Outfitters is also continuing to offer some proven products already well known to Kiwi riders.
The Brixton leather motorcycle jacket, which has been sold in New Zealand for around 15 years, remains part of the range.
It’s representative of the direction Good says he wants to take Motorcycle Outfitters: established motorcycle products alongside new brands and equipment, with an emphasis on quality and value rather than simply chasing the lowest possible price.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR MOTORCYCLE OUTFITTERS?
Motorcycle Outfitters might be a new name, but Good has ambitious plans for where the business goes from here.
There’s a new website, fresh stock and new brands, while relationships with established manufacturers are also being developed and expanded.
For Good, the goal is to make Motorcycle Outfitters an online destination for a broad range of Kiwi motorcyclists, from daily commuters and weekend riders through to adventure, touring and performance enthusiasts.
And with products such as the $259 Caberg Roxter helping make the opening range particularly interesting, we’ll be watching to see what Motorcycle Outfitters brings into New Zealand next.
