- Based on the CFMoto 450 SR S
- Only available in China now
- Uses a 449cc parallel-twin engine
KTM has introduced the new RC 450 in China, expanding its supersport lineup, though for now, the model is expected to remain exclusive to that market.
The RC 450 is based on the CFMoto 450SR S platform, sharing its 449cc parallel-twin engine. However, KTM has tuned it further, extracting 56bhp and 39Nm of torque. The liquid-cooled motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-assist clutch, keeping it competitive within the sub-500cc supersport segment.

Design-wise, the RC 450 stays true to KTM’s aggressive styling DNA, taking cues from the KTM 990 RC R. A sharp LED projector headlamp with flanking DRLs gives it a futuristic look, while premium touches like a single-sided swingarm and composite subframe elevate its appeal.
Weighing just 168kg, the RC 450 undercuts the 450SR S by around 3kg. The hardware package is equally impressive, featuring fully adjustable WP Apex upside-down forks at the front and a rebound- and preload-adjustable WP Apex monoshock at the rear.

Looking ahead, KTM is also working on an all-new sub-500cc twin-cylinder engine in collaboration with Bajaj Auto. This next-generation motor is expected to debut in a future Duke model by late next year, with a strong possibility of making its way into the RC lineup by around 2028, potentially reshaping KTM’s small-capacity supersport strategy.
