Kawasaki has unveiled the 2027 KLX300SM ABS, updating its lightweight supermoto with anti-lock braking as standard and slightly higher power and torque figures. The motorcycle otherwise retains the styling and mechanical package of its predecessor.
Power comes from a 292cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with DOHC and fuel injection. Paired with a six-speed gearbox, it produces 26.8bhp at 8,000rpm and 24.9Nm of torque at 6,800rpm. While the engine remains largely unchanged, these figures are higher than those listed for the 2026 non-ABS version.
The KLX300SM uses a tubular semi-double-cradle frame, with suspension handled by a 43mm inverted front fork featuring adjustable compression damping. At the rear, a gas-charged Uni-Trak shock offers adjustable rebound damping and spring preload. Braking is managed by a 300mm petal disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, with ABS now included as standard.

Staying true to its supermoto design, the motorcycle rolls on 17-inch wheels fitted with road-focused tyres. Its 860mm seat height and 139kg kerb weight contribute to its lightweight, tall-riding character.
Equipment includes an LCD instrument display with smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s Rideology mobile application. The 2027 model will be offered in two colour schemes: Neon Green/Ebony and Battle Gray/Ebony.
