Isle of Man TT to Star in New Film as Cameras Roll at TT 2026

  • Filming for the feature film Isle of Man will begin during TT 2026, turning the iconic road race into a live movie set.
  • The project is backed by Amazon MGM Studios and follows a docuseries filmed at the 2024 TT.
  • The film has the potential to take the Isle of Man TT to a massive global audience beyond traditional motorsport fans.

The Isle of Man TT is about to get its biggest mainstream spotlight yet, with filming for a new feature film titled Isle of Man set to begin during TT 2026.

The production marks a major step in bringing the legendary road race to a global audience, with the event itself forming the backdrop for the film. That means this year’s TT won’t just deliver the usual mix of high-speed racing and raw atmosphere — it’ll also double as a live film set capturing the essence of the world’s most famous road race.

The project is part of a wider deal with Amazon MGM Studios, which has already commissioned a companion docuseries filmed during the 2024 TT. With cameras now set to roll during the event itself, the film moves from concept to reality.

For organisers, the impact goes well beyond motorsport. The TT has always been as much about the Island as it is the racing, and a production of this scale has the potential to showcase both to an entirely new audience.

“The TT has an extraordinary story to tell, and what makes this so authentic is that filming begins at the event itself, capturing the real environment, with the real atmosphere, and against the backdrop of the Isle of Man,” said Paul Phillips.

“The reach of a project like this goes far beyond motorsport. It creates a new opportunity for the Isle of Man and a chance to connect the TT, and the place that makes it possible, with entirely new audiences around the world.”

Despite the added spotlight, organisers have stressed that racing remains the priority. Filming will be carefully managed alongside event operations to ensure there is no impact on safety, competitors or the overall experience for fans.

For those heading to the Island in 2026, it means witnessing something unique — a TT that’s not only being watched around the world in real time, but one that will live on screen long after the chequered flag falls.

And if the film captures even a fraction of what makes the TT special, it could introduce the madness, danger and magic of the event to a whole new generation of fans.
