Indian Motorcycle Could Cut Scout Line-Up to Six Models for 2027

Indian Motorcycle is expected to significantly reduce its Scout line-up for the 2027 model year, with the range potentially being cut to just six models, according to a report from Motorcycle.com.

The Scout family has expanded considerably in recent years, with Indian Motorcycle adding new models and multiple variants to its line-up. In the UK, the current range consists of eight Scout models: Scout Sixty Bobber, Scout Sixty Classic, Sport Scout Sixty, Sport Scout RT, Scout Bobber, Scout Classic, Super Scout and 101 Scout.

However, the actual number of models is higher when the different trims are taken into account. The Scout Sixty Bobber and Scout Sixty Classic, for example, are available with Limited variants, while the Scout Bobber also has a Limited +Tech version. These higher-specification variants add features such as traction control and cruise control.

As a result, Indian Motorcycle’s Scout line-up consisted of 17 models and trims in 2025. The company reduced that number to 15 for 2026, although the range remained extensive following the introduction of the Sport Scout RT Limited +Tech and the 125th Anniversary Scout Bobber.

That extensive line-up could look very different from 2027, however. According to the report, Indian Motorcycle’s new management is planning a major rationalisation of the Scout family, with just six models expected to remain.

The models reportedly set to continue are the 101 Scout, Scout Bobber, Scout Bobber Limited, Sport Scout Limited, Super Scout Limited and Scout Sixty Bobber. If this happens, the Scout Sixty Classic could disappear from the range altogether. The downsizing would also bring an end to the +Tech variants, while this year’s anniversary edition is also expected to be dropped. This would leave Indian Motorcycle with a considerably more streamlined Scout line-up from 2027.
