How fast can the H2R go?

How fast can Kawasaki’s supercharged H2 super bike go when fully unleashed? Well, in order to find out, they had to hit the salt flats of Bonneville. That alone says a lot for the nutty top speed of Kawasaki’s mental Ninja.

While the bike used at Bonneville had to be modified for the conditions and the rules and regulations of speed week, it wasn’t all that different from the machine you can buy out of the factory when it comes down to the essential nuts and bolts.

Team 38 hit the salt for Bonneville Speed Week to take on their personal goal of 220mph.

Shortly after arriving the team found the conditions wouldn’t allow them to go for the all-out record which stands at 240mph. But after having travelled all that way they weren’t going to throw in the towel, and rider Shigeru Yamashita suited up to hit the salt anyway to see how fast he could go.

Watch the vid to see just how fast he managed to go. It’s probably a lot faster than you would’ve guessed.
