For Kiwi riders — and our readers here at BRM — this is another proud moment, seeing one of our own leading the charge in global adventure bike coaching, with Chris and his wife Monica launching another instalment of the massively popular Say No To Slow adventure bike training series – Everything Adventure.
Building on a Global Success
Birch’s digital training journey began back in 2020 with his first Say No To Slow instructional series. What started as an experiment quickly became a worldwide success, with riders in more than 80 countries tuning in to improve their technique, boost their confidence, and have more fun on their bikes.
“Back in 2020, we were breaking new ground,” Birch recalls. “We didn’t know what to expect, but the response was incredible. Riders told us our series changed the way they approached adventure riding. That really motivated us to keep pushing ahead.”
20+ Years of Coaching Experience
The new Everything Adventure series draws on more than two decades of Birch’s coaching career, honed through teaching riders across the globe and working as a KTM factory ambassador. Since 2020, he’s continued to refine his methods, adapting his approach to keep pace with the latest generation of adventure bikes.
“This new series is the result of everything I’ve learnt in the last five years,” Birch explains. “I’ve developed clearer ways to explain techniques, and I’ve seen what really works for riders out there on the trails.”
The Say No To Slow App
In 2023, Birch’s team launched the Say No To Slow app — a first in the adventure bike coaching space. The app allows riders to download and watch videos offline, take notes alongside the lessons, and access the full training catalogue in one place. The interactive platform has built a thriving global community of riders, keeping them connected to their training whether they’re at home or halfway through a backcountry ride.
Raising the Bar Again
With Everything Adventure, Birch is aiming to set a new benchmark. Combining elite-level coaching, digital accessibility, and a global rider network, it’s a one-of-a-kind package.
“Adventure riding is about exploring and going to new places,” Birch says. “Our app and new series give riders the tools to ride further, tackle tougher terrain, and ultimately have more fun.”
