- Offered in two variants
- Uses a 125cc single-cylinder engine
- Global launch soon
Benelli has unveiled the new BKX 125, a lightweight adventure bike set to arrive in global markets in early 2026, and it does so with an all-new engine platform.
According to the Chinese-owned brand, the BKX 125 was designed at the Benelli Style Center in Pesaro, Italy, with a focus on clean, understated lines and close attention to detail. Up front, the bike features a modern headlight unit with integrated daytime running lights, shared with the sportier BKX ‘S’ variant, while the rear brake light is neatly incorporated into the turn indicators.

The BKX 125 is built around a steel tubular trellis frame and comes equipped with 41mm front forks that are fully adjustable for preload, compression and rebound. At the rear, a linkage-assisted monoshock offers preload and rebound adjustment.
Aimed squarely at light adventure use, including trail riding, the BKX 125 rolls on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheel setup and offers 180mm of front suspension travel. Ground clearance stands at a healthy 233mm, while seat height is quoted at 860mm.

Power comes from a new 125cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which is Euro5+ compliant and developed to slot neatly into the A1 licence category. The motor produces a claimed 14.7 bhp at 9,500rpm and 12.1 Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. Braking is handled by a 280mm front disc with a four-piston radial calliper, while the rear uses a 240mm disc and a single-piston floating calliper. Fuel capacity is 12 litres.
The Benelli BKX 125 will be offered in four colour options: Nordic White, Cement Grey, Avio Blue and Dune Sea, with global sales set to begin from early 2026. The motorcycle does make for an interesting proposition for beginners. Will Benelli bring it to New Zealand soon? Stay tuned to find out!
