A Mansory-custom Yamaha TMAX 560, anyone?

Mansory has unveiled a heavily customised version of the Yamaha TMAX 560, created as a highly exclusive project for a select group of customers. Dubbed the ‘Mega Scooter’, the one-off-style conversion transforms Yamaha’s performance maxi-scooter with extensive carbon-fibre detailing, aerodynamic additions and a striking turquoise finish.

The project follows the response to Mansory’s earlier customised Vespa Monaco Edition and the subsequent interest in creating a modified Yamaha TMAX. The standard scooter already has proportions that sit somewhere between a large maxi-scooter and a sports motorcycle, but Mansory has taken that character considerably further.

The changes are immediately visible at the front, where the broad bodywork is surrounded by exposed carbon-fibre components. The side panels have also been given a more layered appearance, while the rear features small aerodynamic winglets. The latter might look at home on an expensive supercar, but their presence on an automatic scooter gives the Mega Scooter its particularly distinctive character.

Mansory has also replaced the standard seat with a bespoke design that appears to have a two-piece layout. It is finished largely in the same turquoise shade as the bodywork and features quilted stitching, contrasting black sections and matching piping. The rider’s back support is integrated into the seat design, with the same treatment extending across the pillion section.

The customisation continues at the front, where Mansory has added a cover featuring an illuminated company logo, redesigned air-intake sections and carbon-fibre mirror covers. Moving further along the scooter, additional upper and lower side panels are joined by prominent aerodynamic winglets carrying more illuminated Mansory branding.

Carbon-fibre detailing is also found on the front mudguard, which receives an additional carbon component along with a Mansory badge. On the opposite side, the scooter gets further additions in the form of what Mansory calls boomerang pieces, while a dedicated carbon exhaust cover has been designed to work with the standard Yamaha exhaust system.

At the rear, another pair of aerodynamic winglets has been added using the TMAX’s original mounting points. This keeps the extensive visual changes integrated with the scooter’s existing structure while giving the rear end a more aggressive appearance.

The turquoise finish provides the biggest contrast against the exposed carbon surfaces. Mansory has carried the colour into fine accent lines running across the carbon components, while an iridescent windscreen completes the look by reflecting different colours depending on the viewing angle.

With its extensive carbon-fibre bodywork, illuminated branding, bespoke upholstery and dramatic aerodynamic treatment, the Mansory Mega Scooter turns the already distinctive TMAX 560 into something considerably more extravagant.
