Kawasaki has released a new teaser video that appears to preview the upcoming Ninja H2. The teaser carries the words ‘Return to Beyond Belief’, a clear reference to the ‘Beyond Belief’ tagline used when the Ninja H2 was first teased in 2014. Kawasaki has also left little doubt about the bike’s identity, with the unmistakable sound of its supercharged engine featured in the video.
However, while the teaser confirms the Ninja H2’s return, certification filings earlier this year suggest that the new model could produce less power than its predecessor. Documents filed with the US Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board indicate that the upcoming hyper-sportsbike could share its emissions specification with the Z H2.
The Z H2 uses a lower-output version of Kawasaki’s supercharged engine, producing close to 197bhp. By comparison, the previous Ninja H2 developed around 228bhp. If the certification figures are accurate, the reduction in output could be one of the biggest changes to the new Ninja H2.

The new Kawasaki Ninja H2 is expected to make its public debut at this year’s EICMA show in Milan in November.
