New Harley-Davidson Deadwood cruiser unveiled!

Harley-Davidson has introduced the new Deadwood, a factory-built bobber-inspired cruiser that draws inspiration from the stripped-back custom motorcycles that emerged in America after the Second World War. The Deadwood will initially be offered exclusively in the United States and Canada and will make its public debut at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on August 7, 2026.

Based on Harley-Davidson’s Cruiser platform, the Deadwood adopts a minimalist design with blacked-out finishes replacing much of the traditional chrome. The engine, exhaust, handlebars, fork covers, controls, headlamp housing and fender supports all receive a black finish, while chrome is retained only on selected engine components for contrast.

Finished in Denim Black with orange graphics on its 19-litre teardrop fuel tank, the cruiser also features black wire-spoke tubeless wheels, a tuck-and-roll solo seat, lowered rear suspension and a detachable short windscreen. The omission of saddlebags further emphasises the Softail frame’s classic hardtail-inspired styling. With a laden seat height of just 648mm, the Deadwood is among the lowest motorcycles in Harley-Davidson’s 2026 line-up.

Power comes from Harley-Davidson’s 1,923cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic V-twin engine, producing 97bhp and 163Nm of torque. A two-into-one exhaust system complements the engine, while riders can choose between Road, Sport and Rain riding modes to tailor power delivery and electronic intervention.

The motorcycle comes equipped with a comprehensive electronics package that includes cornering ABS, cornering traction control, drag-torque slip control and a tyre-pressure monitoring system. Full LED lighting is fitted throughout, including a seven-inch headlamp and auxiliary lights.

Instrumentation consists of a five-inch tank-mounted display that combines an analogue speedometer with a digital screen showing riding mode, gear position, fuel level, trip information and remaining range. A USB-C charging port and connectors for heated riding gear are also included. Suspension duties are handled by 49mm front forks and a hidden rear monoshock with hydraulically adjustable preload. The Deadwood rides on a 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheel combination fitted with Harley-Davidson-branded Dunlop tyres.
