BSA Gold Star buyers can now choose any colour for $11,990

BSA is making it easier for Kiwi riders to choose their favourite Gold Star finish, with every colour now available at the same price for a limited time.

Prospective BSA buyers have a little more reason to visit their local dealership, with BSA Motorcycles New Zealand announcing a limited-time promotion that removes the extra cost normally associated with the brand’s premium paint finishes.

For a limited period, every colour in the BSA Gold Star 650 range will be available for $11,990, allowing buyers to choose from the full range of factory finishes without paying a premium for more exclusive colour schemes. The offer applies while stocks last through the New Zealand dealer network.

The Gold Star has become BSA’s flagship modern classic, combining timeless British styling with a thoroughly modern package centred around a 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. Rather than chasing outright performance, the bike focuses on delivering a simple, engaging riding experience that stays true to the spirit of the original Gold Star while meeting modern expectations for reliability and everyday usability.

According to BSA, the promotion is designed to let riders choose the bike that best reflects their personality rather than their budget, with traditional finishes such as Highland Green sitting alongside more premium options like Silver Sheen at the same price.

BRM recently spent time with the Gold Star on New Zealand roads and came away impressed by its blend of classic character and real-world usability. While it deliberately avoids the complexity of many modern motorcycles, it delivers an authentic riding experience that’s becoming increasingly rare in today’s market.

If you’re considering one, be sure to read our full BSA Gold Star review, where we put the bike through its paces on Kiwi roads and answer the question: Is it a worthwhile successor?

The promotion is available now through participating BSA dealers nationwide, with stock limited and available while supplies last. To find your local dealer, head to https://bsacompany.nz
