Whites Powersports appointed Australasian distributor for DRC and ZETA

Hamilton-based Whites Powersports will now distribute Japanese aftermarket brands DRC and ZETA throughout both Australia and New Zealand following a successful four-year partnership.

Whites Powersports has been appointed the exclusive Australasian distributor for Japanese off-road brands DRC and ZETA, expanding a partnership that has already seen the brands establish a strong presence in New Zealand over the past four years.

The Hamilton-based distributor has represented the two brands in New Zealand since late 2022, helping grow dealer availability and brand recognition. That success has now led Japanese parent company DIRT FREAK to hand Whites responsibility for the Australian market as well.

The move significantly expands Whites Powersports’ role in the region and strengthens its portfolio of premium motorcycle parts and accessories.

Founded in Japan, DIRT FREAK has built a reputation for producing high-quality aftermarket components for motocross, enduro, trail, adventure and road motorcycles. Its DRC range focuses on practical workshop equipment, maintenance products and riding accessories, while ZETA is best known for its premium billet aluminium controls, protection components and performance parts.

Whites Powersports CEO Kyne Larkin said the appointment was a natural progression of the relationship between the two companies.

“We are incredibly proud to have been entrusted with the distribution of DRC and ZETA across Australia and New Zealand,” said Larkin.

“Our partnership with DIRT FREAK has gone from strength to strength over the past several years. The growth we’ve achieved together in New Zealand demonstrates the potential these brands have throughout Australasia, and we’re excited to bring that same focus and commitment to the Australian market.”

DIRT FREAK selected Whites to oversee Australian distribution after recognising the company’s ability to develop dealer networks, build brand awareness and grow sales in the New Zealand market.

Australian dealers are expected to begin receiving stock from August, with the full DRC and ZETA ranges becoming available through the company’s nationwide dealer network shortly afterwards.

The appointment further cements Whites Powersports’ position as one of Australasia’s largest distributors of motorcycle parts, accessories and apparel, representing a growing number of international brands across both New Zealand and Australia.

For riders, the expanded partnership should mean improved availability of DRC and ZETA products on both sides of the Tasman, backed by local warehousing, dealer support and warranty services.
