All-new KTM 1390 Super Duke RR breaks cover

  • Boasts of 11kg weight reduction
  • Fitted with top-spec components
  • Limited to just 350 units

KTM has taken things a step further with the unveiling of the new 1390 Super Duke RR, a more extreme, track-focused evolution of the KTM 1390 Super Duke R.

Straight away, the RR distinguishes itself with a significant 11kg weight reduction over the R. This has been achieved in part through the extensive use of carbon fibre components, alongside high-end hardware like WP Pro Components suspension, which incorporates MotoGP-derived technology.

The upgrades continue with forged wheels and sticky Michelin Power GP tyres, aimed at maximising grip and performance. Braking is also stepped up, with the RR using Brembo HyPure Sport front calipers instead of the Stylema units found on the R, while the rear retains a twin-piston Brembo setup.

Electronics are a major highlight. KTM claims the RR features its most comprehensive street-focused electronics package yet, with the full Tech Pack included as standard. This brings systems like motor slip regulation (MSR), quickshifter+, Suspension Pro, adaptive brake light, engine brake control (EBC), and cruise control.

The RR also debuts a new 8.8-inch touchscreen TFT display, which adds features like a lap timer and telemetry within Track Mode. There’s also a new “Beast Mode,” working alongside the usual suite of rider aids, ride modes, and ABS settings to deliver a highly customisable riding experience.

Powering the bike is KTM’s LC8 V-twin engine, shared with the Super Duke R, producing 187bhp and 107 lb-ft (approximately 145 Nm) of torque. Overall, the 1390 Super Duke RR pushes the already aggressive Super Duke platform further into track-focused territory, combining weight savings, sharper hardware, and a deeply advanced electronics suite into one of the most extreme hyper nakeds currently available
