- Equipped with more off-road focused components
- Uses a 889cc LC8c parallel-twin engine
- To be available in NZ and AUS in limited numbers from June
KTM has unveiled the limited-edition KTM 890 Adventure R Rally, positioned as a hardcore, go-anywhere middleweight built for serious off-road use. With the motorcycle rolling off the production line this month, it is expected to be available in Australia and New Zealand from June 2026 in limited numbers.

This isn’t the first time KTM has used the Rally nameplate; the previous version arrived in 2024 as a 700-unit global run, but this latest iteration brings a fresh visual and technical update. While earlier models wore the brand’s traditional orange-and-black scheme, the new bike introduces blue accents alongside Red Bull-inspired graphics, drawing from KTM’s factory rally machines.
The upgrades go well beyond styling. The 890 Adventure R Rally features high-end WP Pro suspension, including fully adjustable Xplore Pro forks and a matching monoshock with both high- and low-speed compression adjustability. Suspension travel increases to 270mm at both ends—30mm more than the standard KTM 890 Adventure R, resulting in 303mm of ground clearance. The 910mm seat height underlines its focused, off-road intent and may be challenging for shorter riders.
Despite its rugged nature, the bike retains modern tech, including a 5-inch TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation and multiple riding modes for both on- and off-road conditions. KTM also includes its Tech Pack as standard, unlocking features such as Rally Mode, an up/down quickshifter, and cruise control.

Power comes from KTM’s 889cc LC8c parallel-twin engine, producing 104.5bhp and approximately 100Nm of torque, paired with a homologated slip-on exhaust from Akrapovič. The bike has a wet weight of 200kg (excluding its 20-litre fuel load). Durability is further enhanced with carbon tank guards, while the spoked 21/18-inch wheels are fitted with Mitas Enduro Trail tyres as standard. KTM is also offering up to four years of warranty coverage, adding extra appeal for buyers looking at long-term ownership.
