Honda reveals special Transalp XL750 SP

  • Gets a retro livery and special accessories
  • Continues with the same 755cc engine
  • Available in limited number internationally

Honda has revealed a new special-edition version of the Transalp XL750 for international markets, adding retro styling and extra protection while keeping the mechanical package unchanged.

Known as the Transalp XL750 SP, the new variant is based on the manual-transmission model and features a distinctive heritage-inspired paint scheme along with several accessories fitted as standard.

The Transalp SP wears a vinyl decal kit that draws inspiration from classic Honda adventure bikes. Finished primarily in white, the bodywork is highlighted by red and blue graphics, bold ‘Transalp’ branding on the 16.9-litre fuel tank, and ‘SP’ decals on the front mudguard and tank panels. Gold-painted wheel rims add further visual contrast, while standard-fit accessories include engine guards, crash bars and a front bash plate.

Importantly, the SP treatment is offered only on the manual version of the Transalp XL750, with the E-Clutch model excluded. Power comes from the familiar 755cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank, producing 91bhp and 75Nm of torque.

Designed for mixed on- and off-road use, the Transalp runs a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheel setup, paired with long-travel suspension. Electronic aids include ride-by-wire throttle, five riding modes, Honda Selectable Torque Control with integrated wheelie control, four engine power settings, three engine braking levels, two ABS modes and five traction control levels.
