- From BMWs to Brough Superiors: Hammond’s Motorcycle Collection Is Next Level
If you were ever a fan of the British TV hit Top Gear, you’ll remember Richard “Hamster” Hammond as the small bloke with the big grin — and the one who actually loved motorcycles more than cars (much to Clarkson’s horror).

Turns out, after years of TV success with Top Gear, The Grand Tour and a bunch of spin-offs, Hammond’s been in a position to quietly build one of the most enviable motorcycle collections on the planet. And he’s finally decided to show it off in a new video on the DriveTribe channel.
The “garage” he walks through — more like a warehouse — is packed with bikes from every era and genre imaginable. We’re talking ’80s Suzukis, early BMWs, a 1940s Indian Big Chief, plus modern classics like a Royal Enfield Interceptor and a Brough Superior. It’s the kind of lineup that would make even the most hardcore Kiwi collector drool into their brew.

This is also the first time Hammond’s had all his bikes in one place, and he reckons he tries to ride them all as often as possible — keeping them “alive” rather than leaving them to gather dust in some museum. That’s a proper motorcyclist’s mindset.
Check out the video below — but fair warning, you’ll probably start wondering how to make a bit more cash (or space in the shed) for a few more toys of your own.
