New WP Xplor Pro suspension kit for KTM 390 Enduro and ADV unveiled!

  • New kit uses open-cartridge design
  • Shock absorber weighs in at just 3kg
  • No word about global availability yet

Owners of the new KTM 390 Enduro and 390 Adventure models can now upgrade their machines with new high-performance suspension components from WP’s Pro Components division.

According to Alexander Banzirsch, WP’s Chief Engineer for Pro Components Offroad, these 2025-spec upgrades are aimed at riders who want to explore the full potential of KTM’s lightweight adventure lineup. “Riders of the new KTM 390 Enduro R or 390 Adventure R will eventually wonder how far they can push the limits, and these special 2025 WP Pro Components will provide some answers,” said Banzirsch.

At the front, WP has introduced the Xplor Pro 6500 fork kit, an open-cartridge system engineered specifically for KTM’s 390 platform. While most WP Pro forks use a closed-cartridge setup, this new version maintains an open-cartridge design for improved responsiveness and easier servicing.

The damping performance and overall adjustability have been significantly enhanced. However, customers will need to purchase the correct spring separately to match their rider’s weight. Complementing the fork kit is the Xplor Pro 6746 shock, which tips the scales at just three kilograms. It features independent high- and low-speed compression adjustment, rebound control, and spring preload, providing riders with a fully tunable suspension setup for both road and off-road use.

The new Pro components are designed to elevate the KTM 390 series into serious off-road territory, giving riders access to premium suspension technology typically reserved for larger-capacity adventure machines.

While the suspension kit is a welcome accessory, there is no word about its global availability and launch timeline yet. That said, the KTM 390 Adventure has been one of the highest-selling ADVs in New Zealand this year, surpassing the CFMoto 450MT that sold just shy of 280 units.
