BSA Bantam 350 Confirmed for NZ: Price & Arrival Announced

  • All-new BSA Bantam 350 confirmed for NZ, arriving spring 2025
  • Introductory price set at $6,990 + ORC
  • Follows the successful launch of the BSA Gold Star 650

The legendary BSA Bantam is officially set to make its New Zealand comeback, with the all-new Bantam 350 arriving in local showrooms this spring at an introductory price of $6,990 plus on-road costs.

First launched in 1948, the original Bantam became one of BSA’s most iconic models, winning fans for its simplicity, reliability, and no-nonsense approach to motorcycling. Now, more than 75 years later, the Bantam name returns — reimagined for a new generation but still carrying the same spirit of accessibility and honest riding fun. The Bantam follows hot on the heels of the BSA Gold Star 650, which marked the brand’s successful global revival. Where the Gold Star delivered retro-inspired big-bike performance, the Bantam 350 steps in as a more approachable, lightweight option — designed to bring BSA’s classic charm to everyday riders.

At the heart of the 2025 Bantam 350 is a 334cc DOHC single-cylinder engine producing 29hp and meeting the latest Euro 5+ emissions standards. That makes it well suited for everyday commuting while still having enough punch for weekend escapes. Rider-friendly features include a low 800mm seat height, dual-channel ABS, telescopic forks, and twin rear shocks, all aimed at making the bike approachable for new and experienced riders alike.

Visually, the Bantam stays true to its roots. The classic round LED headlamp, teardrop fuel tank, curved rear fender, and circular LCD dash all nod to the heritage design cues that made the original such a hit across generations.

Since BSA’s global revival, the brand has already re-established itself in markets including the UK, Europe, India, Japan, and the Philippines. With the Bantam now confirmed for New Zealand, local riders will soon have the chance to get their hands on one of the most recognisable names in motorcycling history.

The BSA Bantam 350 will be available nationwide through authorised BSA dealers this spring.
