D6M KTM NZ Gears Up for 2026 Supersport 600 with Whites Powersports

  • D6M KTM NZ partners with Whites Powersports for the 2026 Supersport 600 campaign.
  • Riders Cameron Leslie, Hamish Simpson, and Logan Rowell to race KTM RC8C machinery with top-tier gear, including LS2 helmets, RK Chains, and Bridgestone tyres.
  • The partnership focuses on performance, technical development, and a shared commitment to professionalism and NZ road racing heritage.

New Zealand road racing is set for an exciting new chapter as D6M KTM NZ, the country’s official KTM racing outfit, teams up with leading distributor Whites Powersports for the 2026 New Zealand Superbike Series.

The three-rider squad — Cameron Leslie (current 300 Supersport Champion), Hamish Simpson, and Logan Rowell — will tackle the Supersport 600 class aboard the KTM RC8C. Their machines will be equipped with top-tier gear from Whites Powersports’ portfolio, including LS2 helmets, RK Chains, Motobatt batteries, and the official series tyre, Bridgestone.

Double Six Motorsport team principal Jack Clay described the step into the 600 Supersport class as “our most ambitious and exciting chapter yet.” He emphasized that collaborating with Whites Powersports, a respected and established distributor, is “a milestone moment” for the team.

Clay added, “Our riders, engineers, and crew will be working closely with the team at Whites Powersports, drawing on the strength of world-class brands. Just as importantly, we’ll be collaborating to deepen our technical knowledge and maximise performance on the exceptional Bridgestone tyres that will carry us through the season.”

He continued, “At its core, this partnership is built on shared values. Both D6M KTM and Whites Powersports are committed to professionalism, performance, and innovation, while also respecting the heritage and community that make this sport so special. We see this as the beginning of a powerful and enduring relationship, and we’re looking forward to delivering not only a successful season on the track but also a partnership that continues to grow well into the future.”

Whites Powersports CEO Kyne Larkin echoed the excitement, saying, “We’re very pleased to be involved with the great group of people that make up D6M, and with such a professional team that has full manufacturer backing in KTM New Zealand.”

Larkin highlighted the synergy between the two organisations: “It’s an honour to be working with one of the top-tier teams on the grid, supporting them with trusted brands like Bridgestone, LS2, and RK Chains. We are pumped to collaborate with people striving to be the best and having a work ethic and values that align with our own.”

He also noted that D6M has been connecting with other RC8C teams overseas, gathering data and learning from teams already successful on Bridgestone tyres. “We’re looking forward to being part of Cameron, Logan, and Hamish’s progression into the new class on the new bike and following their journey in New Zealand road racing — and possibly beyond,” Larkin said.

D6M KTM NZ will begin the season with testing and the AMCC series at Hampton Downs, before the official kick-off in December with the Suzuki International Series. The main championship, the four-round Star Insure New Zealand Superbike Series presented by Bridgestone, starts at Ruapuna at the end of January 2026 and wraps up at Taupo in March.

With a strong rider lineup, a world-class bike, and a powerful partnership behind them, D6M KTM NZ is shaping up for a Supersport 600 campaign to remember.
