- Unveil on 2 September
- Could either be EV or V3
- Teaser videos on social networks
Honda has unveiled a brief teaser of an all-new naked motorcycle prototype, hinting at a significant upcoming launch. The camouflaged machine, seen in a short clip posted on the company’s social media platforms, is slated for a more detailed reveal on September 2, 2025. While the teaser is only a few seconds long, it has already sparked speculation across the motorcycling world.

The video shows a naked bike devoid of a clutch lever, suggesting it could be either a fully electric motorcycle or one equipped with Honda’s well-known Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Adding fuel to the electric theory is a faint motor whine audible at the end of the teaser, pointing toward battery-electric propulsion.
The prototype bears visual similarities to the EV Fun Concept, first showcased in late 2024. That concept bike introduced Honda’s vision for a large-capacity electric motorcycle as part of its broader carbon neutrality strategy. The LED strip headlight and minimalist naked styling shown in the teaser closely align with the earlier EV Fun design, reinforcing the idea that this may be the first rolling prototype headed for production.
However, the story may not be quite so straightforward.

In the same month the EV Fun was revealed, Honda also showcased a three-cylinder petrol engine equipped with an industry-first electric compressor, mounted in a rolling chassis. At the time, Honda hinted at a potential timeline: a prototype model as early as 2025, followed by a production version in 2026. That project, widely speculated to be the revival of a forced-induction V3 engine, now re-enters the conversation with the emergence of this new teaser.
While Honda has not confirmed the identity of the prototype, the appearance of a naked, clutchless bike leaves both possibilities open. Whether this marks the next step in Honda’s electric transition or the first functional iteration of the V3 concept, the September reveal is set to be one of the most highly anticipated announcements of the year.
