Harley-Davidson unveils two new LiveWire concepts

  • New electric concepts unveiled under LiveWire brand
  • To be 125cc equivalents
  • Likely to be introduced by end of 2025

LiveWire, Harley-Davidson’s all-electric spin-off brand, has revealed two fresh electric motorcycle concepts during the Harley-Davidson Homecoming event in Wisconsin, USA. These upcoming bikes promise to expand LiveWire’s reach into more accessible, lightweight territory—targeting riders looking for agility, simplicity, and fun in compact electric packages.

Though detailed specifications remain under wraps, LiveWire has confirmed that both prototypes are built to be 125cc-equivalent in terms of performance. One model is street-focused—designed for urban mobility and beginner-friendly riding—while the other leans into off-road and trail use, offering a more rugged experience.

From what’s known so far, both motorcycles will likely feature a seat height around 762mm, and early tests show they can hit 30mph in just three seconds. LiveWire also claims a top speed of 53mph, with a projected range of around 100 miles. Each bike will be powered by two swappable battery packs, allowing riders to extend their sessions without waiting for a recharge.

LiveWire says the trail model is aimed at recreational environments such as backyards, ranches, pump tracks, and light trails, perfect for riders wanting weekend thrills or a playful, go-anywhere companion. On the other hand, the street version is tailored for city dwellers, new riders, and fans of mini-motos, with a focus on customisation and daily convenience. Visually, the trail bike’s design hints at a possible supermoto appeal, blending lightweight agility with off-road readiness—something that could easily attract enthusiasts of both riding styles.

With these lightweight concepts, LiveWire appears to be targeting a younger, broader demographic, those seeking a gateway into electric motorcycling without the bulk or intimidation of full-size bikes. The approachability and customizability of these models align with the brand’s mission to make EV riding exciting and inclusive.
