New Ducati Diavel V4 RS in the works?

  • Documents filed in the USA
  • Is expected to be a sportier version
  • Likely to be launched at 2025 EICMA

Ducati is likely to be working on a sportier version of the Diavel V4 cruiser that could be called the Diavel V4 RS.

The information comes after a few documents filed by the Italian manufacturer through the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have been leaked. While details are yet to be revealed, the RS tag in the motorcycle world only means one thing- more oomph when it comes to power, features and tech. Even historically, Ducati has used the ‘RS’ tag for higher-spec, limited-run models like the Monster S4RS and the Multistrada V4 RS. The Diavel V4 RS could also be produced in limited numbers.

Well, we can expect the Diavel V4 RS to use the same Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine but with a different state of tune to set it apart from the standard 180bhp and 118Nm-producing engine.

It is also likely to be equipped with lighter, carbon-fibre bits to shed weight from the standard Diavel V4’s 236kg kerb weight. That said, there could also be an introduction of new tech and features on the cruiser along with a special paint scheme to complete the package.

We can expect Ducati to introduce the new Diavel V4 RS by the end of the year at the 2025 EICMA as part of its global 2026 line-up.
