Triumph Thruxton 400 spotted on test again!

  • Triumph Thruxton 400 spied testing
  • Gets café racer styling and a 399cc engine
  • Could be launched soon
Triumph Thruxton 400

Going by its name, the Thruxton 400 derives styling from the bigger Thruxton. So, it comes with a bubble fairing reminiscent of the ‘80s. However, it is fitted with an LED headlamp to add to its modernness. Then there are the bar-end mirrors and single-piece seat that contributes to the retro elements.

Now, the Triumph Thruxton 400 will be powered by the same engine that does duty in the Scrambler 400 and Speed 400. This 399cc, single-cylinder motor offers 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. It also has the same features as ABS, traction control, and a semi-digital cluster. As for hardware, the Thruxton is seen with USD forks, monoshock and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with road tyres.

We can expect the Thruxton 400 to be launched soon as it looks production-ready and be positioned between the Speed and Scrambler 400X.
