Honda CB1000 Hornet

Underneath a sharp and derived (read Ducati Streetfighter) styling, the Honda CB1000 Hornet uses a 999cc, inline-four from the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade. This motor offers 150bhp at 11,000rpm and 104Nm at 9,000rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch as standard. It also comes with a throttle-by-wire that brings in three ride modes with preset combinations for power, wheelie and traction control as well as engine braking. The rider can also customize the ride settings. Alongside this, the CB1000 Hornet boats of a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity.

The cycle parts include a steel twin-spar frame, adjustable 41mm Showa Big Piston forks and a Showa monoshock for the rear. Nissin brakes have been employed to handle braking. Lest we forget, there is an SP version of the Honda CB1000 Hornet too. This one comes with premium components and a tweaked motor that offers around 156bhp and 107Nm. It uses fully adjustable Showa SFF-BP forks and Ohlins TTX36 rear shock. Braking is done by Brembo Stylema calipers and it comes fitted with a two-way quickshifter as standard. Other than all of these special components, the CB1000 Hornet SP is adorned in matte black paint with golden forks and wheels to set it apart.
