YAMAHA GUMBOOT ADVENTURE RIDE: GUMBOOTS OPTIONAL
For 2018, Britton Adventures has a brand-new, Yamaha-backed event based in the heart of the central North Island, the Yamaha Gumboot Adventure Ride. Make sure you mark down January 27th as a day for riding!
Long-time Britton Adventures customer, keen adventure rider, and Taihape local, Glen Loveridge, has stepped up to provide the Britton Adventures team with valuable local knowledge and great contacts to make the ride one to remember.
The ride will be launched at Moawhango School and Marae, just 18km from Taihape, and is designed for all road-legal trail and adventure bikes. There will be route options to suit your ability and bike, ensuring everyone has a great adventure ride experience.
From the venue at Moawhango, the route will head onto farmland, via paper roads to link through to gravel roads used in the iconic gumboot car rally of the nineties.
The rolling farmland of the Pukeokahu Valley, high country stations and 360-degree views over the region – including across to Mt Ruapehu – will also feature at this event.
The Yamaha Gumboot Adventure will be a terrific way to blow away any Christmas or New Year nightmares, while enjoying the scenery through some of New Zealand’s glorious heartland.
