New Zealand based motorsport agency Bike Sport Promotions are no strangers to the commitment needed to the further future of motorcycle racing, and as such they’ve gone the whole hog and have created a development racing team to contest the newly formed 125GP/Moto3 class.

In a move that is likely to up the level of development in our corner of the world Team BSP will be running the very first Moto3 GP bike to find its way to New Zealand racetracks for the coming 2018 NZSBK Championship in the 125GP/Moto3 class, a second generation Honda NSF250R Moto3 bike sourced out of Europe.

Bike Sport Promotions Commercial Manager, Robbert Adriaanson, says “The future of New Zealand riders in the international arena is firmly our focus. The Moto3 bike provides a natural next step for our development rider and will offer the opportunity to hone their race skills and gain the higher level experience required to compete at overseas races.”

It’s an exciting development in the New Zealand motorcycle racing arena, and the BSP team aren’t the only ones excited about the opportunities this presents to riders and motorcycle racing in New Zealand.

BSP are currently “on the hunt” for a rider to take controls of this very special machine which isn’t far from arriving in the country, so if you know a talented young rider, make sure they send the team a copy of their race C.V!

We’d be putting our names forward… that is, if we were around 20 years younger and about 50 kilos lighter!
