Indian have pulled the covers off their latest Scout iteration, the Scout Bobber, and man oh man is it a cool looking machine!

While Indian Scout owners around the world have already been giving their machines the bobber look by chopping the bike’s flowing guards themselves, Indian Motorcycles are jumping on board the bobber craze following on from the likes of Harley-Davidson and Triumph Motorcycles in offering an official factory Bobber model. The resulting Scout Bobber will be on sale towards the end of 2017.

“The Scout Bobber is our most raw and mean machine to date, and the ultimate in the celebration of what motorcycling is about – a powerful engine, two wheels, and no plans of where to go,” said Peter Harvey, Country Manager – Indian Motorcycle. “It’s an incredibly fun motorcycle that delivers a ton of attitude, along with a ton of power.”

The Scout Bobber is based on the 1133cc V-twin Scout, but with a few alterations in keeping with the bobbed aesthetic.

Its tracker style handlebars and pegs moved 38mm closer to the rider, for a more aggressive riding position. The wheels have been blacked-out, while a low-slung profile is achieved through 25mm lowered rear shocks.

The Scout Bobber also features a black headlight nacelle reminiscent of the one seen on the Chief Dark Horse , minimal engine covers and vented exhaust shields. A black gauge face on its instrument panel and black exhaust further adds to its blacked-out styling. The new block letter logo on the tank compliments the muscular look of the bike while a new two-tone genuine leather bobber seat helps to enhance the minimalistic styling.

The Scout Bobber will be available in five colours, including Thunder Black, Star Silver Smoke, Bronze Smoke, Indian Motorcycle Red, and Thunder Black Smoke.

Available in New Zealand late October from $20,995, the Scout Bobber will be just in time to kick off the new riding season with a stripped down bang.
