Husqvarna Baja Concept Unveiled

Another Ice-Cool, Neo-Retro Concept From The Swedes

Husqvarna has its eyes on a share of the on-road market, debuting yet another concept at the New York IMS show. After unveiling their 'Moab' Concept in Milan, the Huskies have come up with a slightly more off-road capable dual-sport variation on the same theme, called the Baja Concept. The Baja shares the same 650cc single cylinder powerplant, probably sourced straigt from the BMW G650GS. As well as much of the styling and design features, though changing the rubber at the front to a 19″ knobby.

The Baja also has a five-speed wide-ratio transmission, fuel-injection, perimeter frame, and Brembo brakes.

The Swedes have just released their Nuda 900, and are ready to bring the Huqvarna Strada (single cylinder version of the Nuda) into production soon, BMW’s own "mini me" could have a nice wee set of roadies on it's hands in the very near future once the Baja, and/or Moab or a combination of the two, into produciton.
