DAMN THE LEVIES PROTEST RIDE - AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON


ACC has a no fault policy in regards to injuries, yet ACC is trying to blame those that are the victims of injuries!

Ride Guidelines

1.     All motorcyclists are welcome.

2.     2. You are responsible for yourself, your bike, and your ability to go the distance.

3.     No patches, or bad attitudes please – This affects ALL motorcyclists, so we would like to show a diverse, and united front.

4.     No idiots please – Being an idiot on a bike, can have far reaching bad press against the reason for the ride, and could potentially overshadow it.

5.     We do encourage all motorcyclists to be visible and wearing the correct gear for the Protest ride. ie Hi Viz Vests etc.

6.     We will be leaving each point at the stated time, so please be ready.

7.     We will be obeying all road rules.

8.     Please be courteous to other road users.

5:00 – Depart Whangarei

9:00 – BP Papakura (on SH1)

11:00 – Depart Cambridge

14:00 – Depart Taupo

16:00 – Depart Waiouru

 

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

9:00 – Depart Sanson

11:30 – Depart Papakowhai Road

12:00 – Arrive Parliament Steps

 

Departure locations: (For 11:30, 17 November)

SH1 – Papakowhai Road

Area to gather is just south of the Royal NZ Police College, lots of space either side of the road, please park parallel. Organizers to gather near southern gate of Aotea Lagoon.

 

SH2 – Avalon Duck Pond Carpark

And surrounding, again heaps and heaps of space. Organizers gather near entry to carpark please.

 

Departure must be at 11:30, so be in time for briefings.

There will be a gathering point in Paraparaumu as well for those leaving from the coast, Paraparaumu boat club.

 

Route

Down SH1 and SH2 to join at the bottom of Ngauranga, we will all slowly merge over to one lane to take Aotea Exit Ramps. Turn Right into Bunny Street. There will be Police points at these intersections, please co-operate.

 

This convoy could potentially string out kilometres, BE PATIENT and advise all attending friends you bring to be patient and be courteous.
